The title of Madrih ( M) or Madriha ( F) refers to someone who leads. What does it mean to lead? Who should lead? Most importantly, is there something about leadership that we can learn from our 5,000 + year old Jewish civilization? more >
TeeN@KI: Rosh Hodesh Gatherings
Kehillat Israel provides our post B?nai Mitzvah girls with the opportunity to experience Rosh Hodesh, the ancient and totally original Jewish ritual celebrating women. We currently have two thriving Rosh Hodesh groups and will launch a new 8th grade group this fall. Through the Rosh Hodesh program, KI girls meet monthly to participate in innovative, creative, deep and supportive gatherings. Each meeting is designed to help girls grow into proud, secure and radiant Jewish women. Rosh Hodesh groups will be led by Shira Fox, Shira Landau and Lori Schneide.
Where Teens Take Charge
BBYO is where teens take charge! Through BBYO, KI teens do not choose from a calendar of events planned by bunch of adults who think they are cool. Rather, through the newly established Palisades chapter of BBYO, KI teens are empowered to create their own social life, lead their peers and serve their community because all of the programs are teen-led. Volunteer advisors and staff members are simply there to offer encouragement and support. Basically, BBYO is anything and everything you want it to be. Through BBYO, KI teens can choose to socialize with friends, lead our Palisades Chapter chapter, volunteer in our community, enjoy the outdoors, join a BBYO sports league, learn more about Jewish culture, grow personally, and so much more.
